How can I clean a Kivo Mask?
Keeping clean your Kivo mask is important. Your mask is close to your skin, so ensuring it is clean will not only keep the performance of your mask optimal, but also prevent skin breakouts or infection. Where there are oils or makeup products on the inside of the masks, it could lead to reduced performance of the LED's.
Important
- Do not immerse the mask in water or any liquid - your mask comprises of electrical components
- Do not use alcohol based cleaners - it will degrade the plastic protective liner of the mask
- Do not use hot water it can damage the delicate plaster protective liner or shrink the fabric straps
Cleaning the mask
Using a soft microfibre cloth and a small amount of clean warm soapy water, gently clean the inside or outside of the mask. Dry immediately.
Cleaning the straps
Straps can be cleaned simply by throwing them in a cold wash in the washing machine. We recommend using a wash bag to hold the straps if you're including them with other fabrics as Velcro fasteners can damage other clothes. We recommend placing them out to dry, or using the coldest setting on your dryer so they don't shrink.
