Why are there LED's that are not lit on the front of the panel?
On your Kivo panel there are several different types of LED's. So some LED's may not appear to be lit, this is most likely normal, but we'll work through how you can test the LED's to ensure there isn't a fault
- RED LED's - these are easy to spot, and you'll see 2 distinct colours, one red at 630nm which is red in colour, but closer to yellow wavelengths and therefore will show as slightly orange, the second is red at 660nm.
- BLUE LED's - our panels usually include 2 blue LED's per panel segment (so 2 Blue LED's on a 300 series, 6 on a 1000 series). You have to enable Blue LED light on your Kivo panel to see these (please wear googles if you're using these on your face!).
- NEAR INFRARED LED's - Your eyes can only detect about 4% of the light emitted within the Near Infrared wavelength our Kivo panels contain 3 types of Near Infrared LED's (810nm, 830nm, and 850nm). To help you see these, simply use a phone camera with an infrared filter like an iPhone, you'll see the LED's as a purple hue.
When you switch on your Kivo panel, some LED's may not be lit, and this is normal and expected. You can set on the control panel whether to enabled RED LED's and / or NEAR INFRARED. On our Pro panels, there are BLUE LED's - these are only lit when you selectively enable them, so will appear to be off.
