Important: By using your Kivo device, you are agreeing to be bound by the terms of the Kivo Warranty ("WARRANTY") as set out below.
Do not use your product until you have read the terms of the warranty. If you do not agree to the terms of the warranty, do not use or open the product, and return it within the return period stated in the Kivo return policy.
Your Rights Under This Warranty
This warranty gives you certain legal rights, and you may have additional rights depending on where you live. Kivo cannot take away any rights you have under the law. If you want to know more about your rights, check the laws in your area. If you live in Quebec, special consumer protection laws apply to you.
Warranty Limits
If allowed by law, this warranty is the only one Kivo provides. That means Kivo does not offer any other promises about the product beyond what is written here. Some places don’t allow companies to limit warranties, so some parts of this warranty may not apply to you.
What This Warranty Covers
Kivo promises that your Kivo-branded device and accessories in the original box are free from defects in materials and workmanship for the time period specified above from the date you bought them. Your device must be used as Kivo instructs in manuals or official guides.
What This Warranty Does Not Cover
Kivo's warranty does not cover:
- Non-Kivo products, including hardware or accessories sold with a Kivo device.
- Damage caused by accidents, misuse, or improper use (like dropping your device, spilling liquid on it, dropping it in water, or using it with non-Kivo accessories that don’t meet Kivo's requirements).
- Normal wear and tear (like scratches or battery aging).
- Damage caused by repairs done by unauthorized people.
- Products that have been modified without Kivo’s permission.
- Devices with removed or unreadable serial numbers.
- Liquid damage - howsoever caused.
Important Warranty Rules
Kivo may only provide warranty service in the country where you bought your device. If you live in Europe, Kivo may limit repairs to the European Economic Area (EEA).
What Happens If Kivo Approves Your Warranty Claim?
If your device has a covered issue within the warranty period, Kivo will choose to:
- Repair it using new or previously used genuine Kivo parts.
- Replace it with the same model or a similar device.
- Offer a refund for your purchase price.
Kivo may also send you a replacement part and ask you to install it yourself. If this happens, they may put a temporary charge on your credit card until you return the broken part.
If Kivo chooses to replace your device or an accessory, you must provide evidence that the original device or accessory has been suitably destroyed - permanently preventing it from being used by someone else. You cannot give the original device or accessory to someone else, and must recycle it at local recycling facilities.
How to Get Warranty Service
Before asking for warranty service, check Kivo’s online help guides. If your issue isn’t fixed, you can contact Kivo Help or visit a Kivo Store.
If you want to send us your Kivo device for repair or warranty service, you can send the device to the service address listed when you make a warranty claim. You must send it insured delivery, or drop it off in person. If we determine the issue is related to a manufacturing defect, we will ship the device back to you at our cost, or you can collect it. If we determine that the issue is related to something that is not covered under our warranty, we can ship it out to you at your cost, or you can collect it, or elect to dispose of it. If we can, and at the sole discretion of Kivo, we will issue a goodwill credit to you.
What Kivo Is Not Responsible For
Kivo is not responsible for:
- Loss of business, money, or reputation due to a broken device.
- Loss of use of the device.
- Damage or loss of the device due to non-authorized Kivo accessories, stands, or products.
Some places do not allow companies to limit responsibility, so certain parts of this section may not apply to you. If you live in Quebec, special consumer protection laws apply.
Replacement or Repair and warranty time coverage
If Kivo replaces or repairs your device, the original warranty period applies. If Kivo replaces your device, we may replace it with a reconditioned device that is the same or similar to the item being replaced. Repair or Replacement is at the sole discretion of Kivo.
General Information
Kivo’s warranty is governed by the laws of the country where you purchased the device. No Kivo employee or reseller can change this warranty.
